UrbanArt Commission is Memphis’s public art nonprofit, dedicated to commissioning, caring for, and championing public art throughout the city. UAC works with artists and residents to ensure public art is accessible, meaningful, and community-driven.

How your donation helps:
FY2026 Operating Funds - Supports the day-to-day work that keeps public art accessible, maintained, and visible across Memphis. Operating funds help sustain staff, artist support, free public programs, exhibitions, community engagement efforts, and the care of the City’s public art collection. This funding ensures UrbanArt Commission can continue serving artists and residents year-round.
Canvas for a Cause - Supports UrbanArt Commission’s annual Canvas for a Cause fundraiser, which directly benefits local artists and free community programming. Funds raised help provide artist stipends, free workshops, portfolio reviews, public art info sessions, and opportunities to connect artists with new audiences and resources.

Youth Programming - Supports free and low-cost arts programming for youth across Memphis. These funds help provide hands-on workshops, artist-led learning experiences, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to creative careers—especially for young people who may not otherwise have access to arts education.
Become a Public Art Collector
For those who want to deepen their impact, UAC offers Public Art Collectors, a special community whose ongoing support sustains public art and artist opportunities year-round.
When you give $25/month or $300/year, you’ll join the Public Art Collectors and receive:
- Invitations for two to quarterly insider events, including openings, studio visits, gallery tours, and sneak peeks of upcoming Memphis-area projects
- A quarterly newsletter featuring a highlighted public art project, event announcements, and exclusive discounts from local vendors
- Public Art Collector swag, including a tote bag, button, and a set of public art–inspired greeting cards
